Patricia C. “Pat” Ricketts, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born in Bellefontaine on June 20, 1927, to the late Henry Floyd and Anna Maude Taylor Smith. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jakeway, and three brothers, Lester, Taylor and Gene Smith.
On March 6, 1949, she married Milo A. Ricketts Jr. and he survives, along with daughter, Susan Ricketts of Indianapolis; two sons, Ted Ricketts of Bellefontaine and Timothy (Renee) Ricketts of Napoleon; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine where she had taught Sunday School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.
The Rev. A.W. Purdin officiates a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 31 W. Whipp Road, Dayton 45459.
