Mary P. Folsom, 94, formerly of south County Road 25, Bellefontaine, died Nov. 10, 2013, at Echo Manor Nursing Home, Pickerington.
She was born near East Liberty in 1918, a daughter of the late Prentice D. and Jenny Sharp.
On Aug. 5, 1939, she married Ralph Folsom at the East Liberty United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death, along with brothers, Aaron and Lawrence Sharp; and sister, Martha Scott.
She is survived by three children, Mary Joyce (Jerome Levin) Folsom of Casselberry, Fla., Mark Folsom of Canal Winchester and Dr. Aaron (Janet) Folsom of North Oaks, Minn.; grandchildren, James “Chris” Folsom, Mary “Katie” (John) Skidmore, Andy Folsom and Paul Folsom; great-grandchild, Lilly Skidmore; and sister-in-law, Martha Orsborn of Dayton.
A graduate of East Liberty High School and Ohio Northern University, she taught kindergarten and first grade at Benjamin Logan Schools for many years and operated Folsom Fruit Farm with her husband. She was a longtime member of Zanesfield United Methodist Church.
Her body was donated to The Ohio State University Medical School.
