Virginia Lee “Ginny” Ballard, 90, of West Liberty, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
Ginny was born in Dayton on May 18,1923, to the late Harry and Marie Haines Brannum. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Ballard, and her brother, Jack Brannum.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (Greg) Koerner of Indian Lake; son, Vincent (Joy) Ballard of Hillsboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tami (Kerry) Leach of Centerville, James Lutz Jr. of Springfield, Jennifer (Jason) Helman of Piqua, Carissa (Andrew) Paavla of Indian Lake, and Tony and Cassia Koerner, both of Kettering; great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Rebecca Leach, both of Centerville, Noah and Nolan Lutz, both of Springfield, and Mikayla Helman of Piqua; and sisters-in-law; Eleanor Ballard and Delores Wiles, both of Dayton.
Pastor Larry Lutz officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel, Dayton, where visitation is one hour prior. Burial is in Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Logan County.
