Alice P. Hayes, 81, of Lakeview,  left this life Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2013, at Green Hills Community, West Liberty.

Alice was born in Cleveland on July 22, 1932, to the late Phenici and Amy Leeds Dickerson.

On Oct. 21, 1950, she married Raymond Grumbling and he preceded her in death, along with a son, Ronald D. Grumbling.

She married Richard “Dick” Hayes on Nov. 11, 1980, and he survives, along with two daughters, Beth Tweed of Lancaster, Calif., and Ruth Skrletts of Marietta, Ga.; three sons, Raymond D. Alice was a 1950 graduate of North Royalton High School. She owned and operated Grumbling’s Channel Light Inn for 15 years and retired from Logan Acres, where she worked in the office.

She was a member of Grace Chapel Christian Union in Santa Fe, where she and Dick celebrated their 25th anniversary with her daughters and sons standing on their behalf. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking, and when she was younger, golfing.

Her greatest joy was being with her family and doing things for them.
