Dale M. McClure, 89, of West Liberty, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Green Hills Community, West Liberty.
He was born in Alcony on Sept. 19, 1923, to the late Carl and Ethel Hess McClure.
On April 8, 1949, he married the former Patricia Kilgore in Rushsylvania and she preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2001. He also was preceded in death by a son, Allen McClure; a sister, Ruby Codrington; and two brothers, Howard and Robert McClure.
Surviving are two sons, Roy McClure and Robert (Cyndi) McClure, both of West Liberty; five grandchildren, Allison (Rob) Louden, Jamie McClure, Robert McClure, Samantha VanHouten and Alexandra VanHouten; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Louden, Anna Louden and Sophia VanHouten; a brother, Carl (Becky) McClure of Bellefontaine; daughter-in-law, Kathy McClure of West Liberty; and a longtime friend, Shirley Dunaway of West Liberty.
A farmer all his life, Dale loved the Lord. He attended the First Church of God, West Liberty. He enjoyed tractors, bowling, the Cincinnati Reds and having coffee with his friends at the Liberty Gathering Place.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty. Pastors Robin Riggs and Ronald Irick officiate a funeral at 10 a.m. Saturday at the West Liberty First Church of God. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
