Kathryn Bannon LeVan, 92, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in Bellefontaine on April 25, 1921, to the late Carter Bannon and Elizabeth Aikin Bannon Henke.
On April 1, 1944, she married Lowell Edward LeVan in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1994. She also was preceded in death by her stepfather, Heber Henke.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean (Stanley) Wedding of West Mansfield and Kathryn (Gregory) Neuman of Stamford, Conn.; six grandchildren, Andrew (Tracey) Wedding, Kathryn (James) Pearson, Jessica Wedding, Lauren (Robert) Lemons, Jennifer Neuman and Brooke Neuman; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Carter, Tucker and Zoe Wedding and Christian and Boston Pearson.
A graduate of Bellefontaine High School in 1937, Kathryn was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bellefontaine. She was an avid reader and a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Pastor Michele Holloway officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, followed by burial in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the charities of the donors’ choices.
