Herbert Benjamin Warye, 89, of Arlington, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born in Pachmarhi, India, on Sept. 22, 1923, to the late John Herbert and Nellie Marie Yoder Warye.
On Dec. 31, 1948, he married the former Phyllis Marjean Little and she survives, along with a brother, Howard V. (Shirley) Warye of Michigan; two sisters, Hildia M. (Wayne) Brennaman of Indiana and Harriett A. Seeley of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Herb retired as the manager of Neuhauser Hatchery after 19 years and then was owner/operator of Warye Poultry Farm. He was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church for over 50 years, a Madison Insurance director board member for seven years, enjoyed antiques and served in the United States Army.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, where Pastor Doug Stockton officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment is at Arlington Cemetery.
