Linda Rose Sweigart, 65, passed away in her residence on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013.
She was born in Reading, Pa., on June 27, 1948, a daughter of Lester and Theresa Klaster Youndt, who survive.
She also is survived by her husband, Thomas Sweigart; daughter, Jodie (Christopher) LaBelle; stepdaughter, Heather Haga; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Anya, Alan and Noah; stepgrandchildren, Brittani, Cole and Jessica; two sisters, Lois (Spencer) Stober and Sandi (Craig) Styer; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sweigart grew up in Fivepointville, Pa., and was a 1966 graduate of Garden Spot High School. She worked in the banking industry for Blue Ball National Bank, Pa., beginning as a teller and working her way up through many positions until she retired as the manager of the main bank branch.
She and her husband moved to Ohio in 1995 to begin a life raising quarter horses and enjoying the Western reining horse business. She was proud to have worked six years in the office for the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, Okla., and to have volunteered for Discovery Riders.
She loved animals, gardening, crafts and nature.
A celebration of life reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Jennings Farley Funeral Home, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Universal Home Health and Hospice would be appreciated for the fine care of Mrs. Sweigart.
