Robert Thomas White Jr., 65, of Bellefontaine, passed away late Monday, July 29, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 22, 1947, a son of the late Robert Thomas Sr. and Eunice Irene Cordle White. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbin Marie White; a sister, Betty Auflick; a brother, Rocky White; and a brother-in-law, Ray Schrader.
He is survived by four sisters, Patty (Ted) Swainhart of Perrysville, Tommie Sue Schrader of Columbus, Anna (Tony) Coder of Bellefontaine and Tammie (Keith) Ellison of Texarkana, Ark.; one brother, Michael (Cindy) White of DeGraff; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Virgil and Marge Fryling and A.J. Galo.
A U.S. Army veteran, Robert was injured while serving in Vietnam and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Harold Kerr Post 173 and VFW Frank D. Castle Post 1080.
He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Pastor Virgil Fryling officiates a memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where visitation is one hour prior and military honors are by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard. Private burial is at a later date.
