Patricia J. “Pat” Kauffman went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2013.
She was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Logan County to the late Hartley and Josephine Raines Grant.
She married Robert “Bob” Kauffman on Jan. 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1986.
She worked a number of places as follows: 1957-58 at Siemens in Bellefontaine, 1959-67 at Copeland in Sidney, 1968-69 at the Women’s Reformatory in Marysville and 1974-91 at Colonial Coin Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by three children, Debbie ( Dean) Brown of Urbana, Lori Rice of Piqua, and Rob (Katz) Kauffman of Bellefontaine; two special loving friends, Brenda “Beaner” Williams and Becky Bechtel who gave a lot of their time visiting with Pat; four grandchildren, Casey and husband Doug Decker, Niki, Brett and Ashleigh; four great-grandchildren, Kayti, Kaden, Emily and Hayley; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Byron, Charles and Frances; two infant brothers, Thomas and Richard Arlen; and a sister, Elizabeth Young.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Interment is in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
