Janette L. Oswald, 75, of Findlay, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Heritage Manor. She was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Wyandot County to the late Clayton and Elise Marling Young. She worked for Findlay City School and enjoyed being a band mother and aide, retiring from the school system in 2002 after eight years of service. Janette loved to collect pins, and had a special place for Yorkie dogs, especially her two favorites, LuLu and Lily.
Survivors include her husband, Leo P. Oswald, whom she married March 22, 1971; daughters, Amber (Christopher) Hesson, and Audrey (Shanon) Jackson; stepchildren, Laureen (Thomas) Westrick, Lisa (Steve) Ames, Tina (Bradley) Seifert and Kevin (Karen) Oswald; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Janice Stahler and Joyce Burrell; and a brother, Carey W. Young.
A brother, Larry C. Young, also preceded her in death.
Private funeral services with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery are planned through arrangements with Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay.
Friends and family may celebrate Janette’s life at 1 p.m. Friday at the Findlay Moose Lodge No. 698.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janette’s name may be made to Cancer Patient Services, 1800 N. Blanchard St., No. 120, Findlay, OH 45840.
