Agnes M. Hagar, 90, of East Liberty, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in North Augusta, S.C.
She was born in Bellefontaine on April 21, 1923, a daughter of Ralph and Iva Patrick Marine. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hagar; and brother, John Marine.
She is survived by her daughter, Naomi Jean (Roger) Mote of North Augusta, S.C.; son, Dean (Connie) Hagar of East Liberty; grandchildren, Shannon (Josh) Pitchford, Heather Mote, Melissa (John) Kupfer, Jeremy (Debbie) Mote, Ben (Maryanna) Hagar and Nick (Stephanie) Hagar; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Middleburg High School in 1941 and attended Business College/Office Training School in Columbus.
She was a member of the Middleburg United Methodist Church, where she played the organ, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Group. She also was a charter member of the Mrs. Club of Middleburg.
Pastor Tim Reeves officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday in Middleburg United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Burial is in the Middleburg Cemetery.
