Harold N. Heilman, 91, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Logan Acres Care Center.
He was born on March 6, 1922, in Meigs County, to the late Norman and Helen Reuter Heilman.
In December 1954, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Riggs Heilman. On Nov. 19, 1955, he married Patricia M. Fogarty Heilman in Indianapolis and she passed away April 12, 2007. His sister, Mildred Ihle, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Linda (David) Karibo of Bellefontaine, Rosemary (Rex) Musser of West Liberty, Patrick (Sandra) Heilman of Bellefontaine and Ronald Heilman of Troy; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Harold was the vice president of Knowlton Construction, Bellefontaine, where he started out as a carpenter. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge and life member of the V.F.W., all of Bellefontaine.
Harold loved his family and enjoyed farming and raising cattle and horses.
Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. Pastor Bill Walker officiates a private family graveside service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery, with military honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
