Ruth Ramsey, 92, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013.
Born in Shelby on Nov. 13, 1920, she was a homemaker and Christian wife and mother who modeled Christianity to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Frank) Walls of Mansfield; sons, James (Cynthia) Ramsey of Perrysville, Carmen “Skip” (Jane) Ramsey of Indianapolis and Richard “Rick” (Kathryn) Ramsey of Bellefontaine; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Beverly Hunter of Shelby and Martha Mullett of Warsaw; brother-in-law, Leroy (Ethel) Ramsey of Hayesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Chester Earl Ramsey, on Jan. 8, 2006; and eight siblings.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 2553 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, and one hour prior to a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday by Pastor David J. Pound at Berean Baptist Church, 2145 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield. Burial is in Mansfield Cemetery.
