Edward Paul McGhee Jr., 44, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was born in Elkton, Md., on Oct. 25, 1968, to Bertha “Bert” Rudolph Schwaderer, who survives in Bellefontaine, and Edward (Marilyn) McGhee Sr., who survives in Lima.
Survivors also include paternal grandmother, Janet McGhee of Willow Grove, Pa.; a sister, Sharon (Cleve Jr.) Walden of Bellefontaine; a nephew, Christopher Walden of Bellefontaine; aunts and uncles, David (Diane) Rudolph of Rising Sun, Md., Harriet (Ed) Ramaeka of Ocala, Fla., Kathy (Skip) Miller of Elkton, Md., Robert McGhee of Charlestown, Md., Ginni (Tad) Takeuchi of Willow Grove, Pa., and Cindy (John) Horsman and Sandy McGhee, both of Milford, Del.; many cousins; and his special family at Spring Street.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stella “Grammy” and George Rudolph, and his paternal grandfather, Archie “Pop-Pop” McGhee.
Eddie worked at RTC and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellefontaine. He enjoyed food, especially M&Ms and pizza.
He liked to watch basketball of all levels on television, people watch and also loved people with blonde hair.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where Pastor Ed Beale officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday. Entombment is in the Highland Memorial Mausoleum, West Liberty. The family requests casual dress.
