Katherine M. Anderson

Katherine M. Anderson, 86, formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.

She was born in DeGraff on June 23, 1926, a daughter of the late Jesse and Georgia Jones Conner. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Woodrow Anderson; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo Clark of DeGraff; her grandchildren, Cindy (Chad) Fry of DeGraff and Mikki (Jim Stapleton) Johnson of Middleburg Center; great-grandchildren, Cody Leach of DeGraff, Lindsey (Dustin Estridge) Doss and Ryan Maxwell, both of Springfield, a great-great-grandson, Charly Estridge; her sister, Sadi Lyons of Ada; and several nieces and nephews.

An avid bowler, Katherine loved to spend time with family and friends playing cards and games, and being around kids and animals. She also liked to cook and was known for her spaghetti.

Pastor Toby Crowder officiates a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall of Urbana.

Regina A. Day

Regina A. Day, 46, of Sidney, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Piqua on Oct. 17, 1966, to Lawrence Sr. and Donna Brush Day, who survive in Sidney.

Regina is survived by a brother, Lawrence (Joyce) Day Jr. of Maplewood; a niece, Elizabeth Day; and one nephew, Leon Day.

A 1986 graduate of Riverside High School, she was a member of Piqua Fish and Game and worked for 14 years at A&B Machine in Sidney.

Deacon Tony Teague officiates a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, where visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial is in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua.
