Mary Margaret Mort, 75, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 3, 1937, to the late Kenneth and Alberta Glaze Prater. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas, Robert, Hugh, Carl “Corky” and William Prater, and a sister, Dorothy Prater.
Surviving are her sons, Dennis Hines of Bellefontaine, Tim (Beverly) Hines of Urbana, Joe Hines of DeGraff and Kelly Hines of Bellefontaine; daughters, Lori (Paul Cordrey) Hines of Urbana, Julie (Pete) Hatfield of Anna and Marlee Parker of West Liberty; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Mary worked 26 years at Bulldog/Siemens, Bellefontaine.
She was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion and the Eagles, all of Bellefontaine, and enjoyed attending all of their events.
She loved her flowers, gardening, puzzles and watching wildlife.
Pastor Kenny Van Hoose officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
