Gregory A. Smith, 50, of DeGraff, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, after passing away unexpectedly at his home.
He was born in Wilmington on Sept. 4, 1962, a son of the late Thomas and Sharon Thompson Smith.
On May 12, 1990, he married the former Ann Neigel in New Carlisle and she survives, along with their daughters, Abigail and Kayla Smith, both at home; a brother, David (Thora) Smith; father and mother-in-law, Chuck and Linda Neigel of New Carlisle; brother-in-law, Jeff Neigel of Canton, Ill.; and three nieces and one nephew.
He was employed at Honda of America in Anna for 23 years.
He enjoyed working with stained glass, gardening, fishing, watching The Big Bang Theory, and especially spending time with his girls. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Pastor Walt Mansfield officiates a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with his daughters’ college educations.
