Carolyn J. “Ninny” Troutwine, 70, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 6, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born in Dayton on Aug. 27, 1942, to the late Dwight and Dorothy Hayes Gustin.
In 1981, she married Charles Troutwine in Dayton and he preceded her in death May 6, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marolyn Melton.
She is survived by her sons, Dwight “Ed” (Tonya) Haley of Bellefontaine and James Gustin of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Tara (Brandon) Fout, Matthew (Emma) Overfield, Mycole Overfield and Jessica Davis; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Rollins, Rylen Fout and Taytum Fout; brothers, Daniel Gustin of Portsmouth and Edward (life-partner Mark) Gustin of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; nieces, Jeanna, Amanda and Kim; nephews, Bill, James, Ty and Tony; great-nieces and nephews; and other close family and friends.
A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family around the campfire, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, quilting, playing video games and euchre.
Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
