John Douglas Simcox, 54, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2012, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Columbus on April 3, 1958, to the late Arthur and Carol Simcox.
John is survived by his spouse, Kristina Ball of Bellefontaine; his five children, William (Christina) Simcox, Nicholas Simcox, Melanie Simcox, Jade Lowe and Eston Ball; his loving brothers, Arthur (Beth) Simcox Jr. and Jeffrey (Tammy) Simcox; five grandchildren, Xavier, Landon, Kaelyn, Jacob and Justin Simcox; niece, Sabrina; and nephews A.J. (Rachel) and Brian, Brandon (Kelly) Simcox.
A retired automotive salesman, John was loved by many and always knew how to light up a room.
He met his soul mate later in life and had 10 wonderful years of friendship and love with her.
John had a love for music and a talent for writing and performing. He loved all of his children and grandchildren dearly.
A private family service is at a later date.
