Bobby G. Williams, 82, of West Liberty, went home to spend Christmas with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born in West Liberty on Aug. 31, 1930, a son of the late William McKinley and Esta Louise Detwiler Williams. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Paul Williams; and a sister, Mary Ann Williams.
On Feb. 14, 1990, he married the former Helen Joyce Burnside in Bellefontaine and she survives, along with a daughter, Melody (Kent) Fullerton of Bellefontaine; a son, Greg (Tina) Williams of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Shaun McCafferty, Luke Williams, Autumn Popp, Adam and Zane Fullerton; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther (Ray) Stokes of West Mansfield; brothers, Jerry (Kay) Williams of Ovieda, Fla., and Dan (Bea) Williams of West Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
An Army veteran, he was a pressman at Merchants Industries for more than 30 years and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine.
He loved to bake and was famous for his pork and bean bread at Green Hills Community, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Pastor David Hernandez officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home, West Liberty, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.
