Mary Catherine “Kay” Lindeman, 74, of Springfield, died at 6:09 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, in her residence.
She was born in Springfield on June 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Clarke J. and Helen L. Sullivan Armentrout. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in 1999; two brothers-in-law, George Frost and Ronald Bryan; and former companion, George Winkhouse.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen S. (Jerry) Rolfes of Xenia; two stepchildren, James D. “J.D.” (Shonda) Lindeman of Springfield and Dena J. Woodruff of Bellefontaine; seven grandchildren, Catherine, Sabrina, Brendan, Elana, Brett, Kristina and Michael; four siblings, Ann Bryan of Jamestown, Connie (Richard) Miller of Springfield, Alice Frost of Urbana and Robert (Sue) Armentrout of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
With her husband Jim, she owned and operated Business Equipment Company for 22 years.
She was former music teacher, organist and choir director at St. Joseph Church and more recently the organist and choir director at St. Michael Church, Mechanicsburg.
She enjoyed traveling, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Conroy Funeral Home, Springfield. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Church, Springfield. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Community Mercy Hospice.
