Evelyn Ilean Rose, 85, of Sidney, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Fair Haven Nursing Home.
She was born in Butler, Tenn., on Jan. 31, 1927, a daughter of the late Clarence and Rosa Leonard Dugger.
On Aug. 23, 1946, she was married to Robert “Bob” Rose, who preceded her in death March 16, 2003. She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Curt Perrin; and one brother, Joe Dugger.
She is survived by her four children, Randy (Jackie) Rose of Sidney, Rick (Sheila) Rose of Vandalia and Mary (Joe) Addy and Mike Rose, both of Sidney; six grandchildren, Lori Cook, Mark Perrin, Ryan Stahler, Jamie Hardwick, Shane Hardwick and Matt Rose; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas (Lavelle) Dugger of Omaha, Neb.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A loving wife, mother and homemaker, she worked side by side with her husband on the family farm near Quincy.
She always held a special place in her heart for the beautiful mountains of Eastern Tennessee, where she lived for the first 14 years of her life, before moving to Ohio. There are still many family members there she dearly loved.
The Rev. Barbara Staley officiates a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Quincy Fire and Emergency Department, Fair Haven Nursing Home, and charities of the donors’ choices.
Arrangements were handled by Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney.
