Robert H. Terrill Jr.

Robert H. Terrill Jr., 74, of Ridgeway, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born Sept. 24, 1938, in Ridgeway, a son of Robert and Helen Ulrich Terrill. On Nov. 8, 1959, he married Nancy Elsasser in Kenton and she survives.

He was a 1956 graduate of Ridgeway High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, reaching a grade of Specialist 4. He was farmer and bus driver for Ridgemont Local School District.

He was member and elder at Rushsylvania United Presbyterian Church; a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau and the Tractor Restorative Club.

Other survivors include two sons, Rob (Tasha) Terrill of Prospect, and Ryan (Lora) Terrill of Troy; a daughter, Susan (Brent) Harder of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren: Shelby (fiance Andy) Terrill; Brittany, Ayden, Bo, Ashton, Larsen, Sophia, Zachariah, Naomi, Benjamin, Mekiah and Tiana Terrill; and Maegan, Nicholas, Audra and Mitchell Harder; two sisters, Penny Ann (Ted) Berlin of Urbana and Barbara Diane (Steve) Guider of West Mansfield; a brother, Steve (Debbie) Terrill of Cary, N.C.; two brothers-in-law Lynn (Judi) Elsasser and Harry Elsasser, all of Ridgeway; two sisters-in-law Noralee (Jimmy) Willoughby of Tennessee and Marianna Elsasser of Kenton; mother-in-law Irene Elsasser of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother-in-law Chris Elsasser, a sister-in-law Debbie Elsasser and father-in-law Harold Elsasser preceded him in death.

A private graveside service will be conducted at the family’s convenience. A celebration of life service is set for 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Rushsylvania United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Sean Spoelstra officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgemont FFA or the Rushsylvania United Presbyterian Church.
