Connie L. Burnside Hemphill, 64, of Sammamish, Wash., passed away Oct. 2, 2012, from breast cancer.
She was born in Middleburg on Sept. 11, 1948, a daughter of the late Helen and Henry Burnside, and lived in Bellefontaine until August 2012.
She married Roger Hemphill on July 19, 1975. They were married 13 years. He preceded in death, along with her daughter, Jennifer; her brothers, Richard and Eugene Burnside; and sisters, Kay Harford and Phyllis Clem.
Survivors include her daughter, Krista (Rob) Chambers and their children, Zac, Nic, Jac and Beckett, all of Sammamish, Wash.; her brother, Elden Burnside; sisters, Kerlene Kennedy, Rita Hardman and Joyce Williams; many nieces, nephews; and other family and friends.
She was a Medicare coordinator for Mary Rutan Hospital for more than 30 years and enjoyed working in her garden, reading, and visiting her grandchildren. She also was actively involved in supporting breast cancer awareness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
