Ohio State, Case Western release campus sexual assault data

 

A quarter of undergraduate women surveyed at more than two dozen universities say they experienced unwanted sexual contact sometime during college, according to a report released Monday. The Association of American Universities Campus Climate Survey was sent to nearly 780,000 students at the association's member colleges, plus one additional university, including Ohio State University in Columbus and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. About 150,000 participated in the online questionnaire. Some of the findings for Ohio State and Case Western:

DOJ awards $5.4 million to hire officers in northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND (AP) — Eleven northeast Ohio police agencies have been awarded a total of $5.4 million in grants by the U.S. Department of Justice to hire or rehire police officers through its Community Oriented Policing Services office.
