Ohio to replace bridge after tanker fire, reroute traffic

 

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Transportation officials plan to replace a bridge that was charred early Wednesday morning when a tanker truck carrying ethanol overturned, caught fire and forced closures on two major highways near Ohio's capital, leading to damage possibly up to $1 million and two citations for the driver.

Prosecutor offers deal to white Cleveland police supervisors

CLEVELAND (AP) — A prosecutor has offered to drop charges against five white police supervisors accused of failing to stop a car chase that ended in a deadly 137-shot barrage of police gunfire and the deaths of two unarmed black people if they're willing to say they endangered the public and meet other conditions, attorneys for two supervisors said Wednesday.
