Speeding vehicle flips in SW Ohio yard, killing 2

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Police in southwest Ohio say they believe a vehicle was traveling at speeds nearing 100 mph before it flipped into a yard and hit a tree, killing the driver and the woman riding with him.

WDTN-TV (http://bit.ly/1zHh4tj ) reports the crash happened Thursday afternoon in Dayton in an area where the speed limit is 35 mph.

Police say both the 30-year-old man and the 26-year-old woman were thrown from the vehicle.

Sgt. Creigee Coleman says it's a reminder to other drivers to respect the speed limit, drive cautiously and keep others' safety in mind.
