Pemberville out to solve cat troubles

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — A village in northwestern Ohio is trying to solve a problem that residents say is spreading fast.

Village residents say there are so many feral cats in Pemberville that they've lost count.

The village council is now considering a proposal from the Wood County Humane Society to trap, neuter and then return the cats to the village.

The council's president tells The Sentinel-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1tXAPMn ) in Bowling Green that the big question is how to fund the program.

The Humane Society says it would cover half of Pemberville's expenses for the first year and that the village must pay for the program after that.
