Sheriff: 1 dead, 1 injured in shooting at cabin

LOGAN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of killing a man and injuring a woman during a shooting at a cabin this weekend in southern Ohio.

The Hocking County Sheriff's Office says the shooting occurred just before 9 o'clock Saturday night at a Hocking Hills cabin on state Route 678. Officers say a 31-year-old woman injured in the shooting escaped to a nearby residence to seek help.

Authorities arrived at the cabin to find one man dead, and they could not immediately locate the shooter.

WBNS-TV reports the woman was flown to a Columbus hospital, where she remained Sunday night.

Additional details about the victim and shooting were not immediately available.

The sheriff's office believes the alleged shooter fled in a white 2007 Chrysler Town and Country van.
