Change of command set for Wright-Patt

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A new leader is taking command of southwest Ohio's Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the 88th Air Base Wing there.

The base said Col. John Devillier (duh-VIL'-yay) was set to become the new commander in a ceremony Thursday at the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton.

He replaces Col. Cassie Barlow, who is retiring.

The 88th Air Base Wing is one of the largest air base wings in the Air Force. It has more than 5,000 military, civilian and contractor employees.

Wright-Patterson is home to more than 27,000 total employees and is the largest military base in Ohio. The base includes a major acquisition center, research and development laboratories, a major command headquarters, an airlift wing and the museum.
