Dayton home health worker gets 10 years in rape

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A former southwestern Ohio home health care worker has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after admitting that he raped an 82-year-old man who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. said 38-year-old Marcus Fox was sentenced Wednesday in Dayton after pleading guilty to three counts of rape of a substantially impaired victim.

Fox didn't speak in court, but he previously said he has a sex addiction and apologized for the crimes.

Heck said Fox made comments to co-workers that caused them to report him to their employer. Police who investigated determined he raped the elderly man on three occasions. Heck called the crimes "appalling."

When Fox is released from prison he'll be required to register as a sex offender every 90 days.
