Police: 3 dead after central Ohio car crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a car lost control on a central Ohio roadway and crashed into a tree, killing three people inside and sending another person to the hospital in critical condition.

Ohio Highway Patrol Sgt. Robert Curry says that 33-year-old driver James W. Wyatt III, 28-year-old Elizabeth Wyatt, and the woman's young daughter died at the scene on state route 229 in Delaware County Sunday evening, 40 miles north of Columbus. The Wyatts were brother and sister and all three victims lived in Marion.

Curry says 22-year-old Jessica Wray, of Alexandria, Va., was the front-seat passenger and is in critical condition at OSU Wexner Medical Center. Curry says Wray was James Wyatt's fiance.

Video from WBNS-10TV in Columbus shows snow blown onto the roadway where the crash occurred.
