Bond lowered for father of Ohio boy killed by van

MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A central Ohio man has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from an incident in which authorities say he killed his 4-year-old son by accidentally running over him with his van.

A judge on Thursday also reduced the bond for Natividad de Jesus Hernandez.

The 30-year-old Hernandez was charged with leaving the scene without speaking to authorities after his son fell out of the van. Authorities later charged him with stealing from the construction site where the Dec. 26 accident happened.

He's also charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter and two counts of forgery.

Hernandez's attorney, Scott Culbert, denies his client was stealing. He says that the charges will be fought at trial and that Hernandez has suffered enough.
