Coroner: Ohio toddler's death was homicide

CLEVELAND (AP) — The coroner in Cleveland has ruled the death of a 3-year-old boy a homicide, and police are holding his father.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group ( ) reports that the Cuyahoga (KY-uh-HOH'-guh) County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday ruled that 3-year-old Bryson Marshall died Friday from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, torso and extremities.

On Saturday police arrested Bryson's father, 26-year-old William Sheppard, on felony charges of child endangering. They say other charges may be filed. No attorney information for him was available.

The arrest came a day after Sheppard called 911 to report his son had stopped breathing at their home on the city's near east side.
