FRANKLIN, Ohio (AP) — Police in southwest Ohio say a badly beaten teen dropped off at a hospital without any identification has died from his injuries.
Franklin police say two men are being held in connection with the case. Authorities say the 16-year-old boy was left at a Middletown hospital early Sunday and was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he died.
Police Chief Russ Whitman in the city some 15 miles south of Dayton says the youth was beaten at a Franklin home. Authorities say two men in a pickup truck had left him at the hospital Sunday. Police say the youth was later identified, but his name hasn't been released.
Whitman said two men were being interviewed by police Monday. He declined to discuss a possible motive, pending more investigation.
