REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (AP) — Police say a teen is in custody after the discovery of an 18-year-old woman's body near a suburban Columbus high school.
Reynoldsburg Police Chief Jim O'Neill said at a press conference Tuesday that the teen "confessed to taking an active role in her death." The suspect hasn't been publicly identified or charged.
The slain body of Danielle Michaels was found Monday afternoon by a man walking his dog in a field near Reynoldsburg High School's Summit campus. Officials canceled classes at the school Tuesday.
Officials haven't said how she died.
Police say Michaels took online high school classes and did not attend the school.
