COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police in central Ohio say they've arrested a man and women who are accused of kidnapping three people and torturing them last summer.
A Columbus police report said the alleged kidnapping happened in July when the three people were forced into a residence at gunpoint and held for six to seven hours. The victims said they were beaten, tortured and sexually assaulted.
Police said the torture included teeth being pulled out with pliers.
A SWAT team stormed a house on the city's west side on Wednesday night and two people were arrested. They were identified as 29-year-old Obryan Jones and 23-year-old Belynda Coffman. Both are charged with two counts of kidnapping.
Detectives said they found items the victims said had been used in their torture.
Attorney information wasn't immediately available.
