Gunman kills Findlay resident

FINDLAY — Findlay man was shot and killed early Friday on a city street. The gunman was riding in an old Pontiac and fired a handgun at the victim, police were told.

Joe Gutierrez III, 34, was shot at about 1:10 a.m. at the intersection of East Foulke and Crystal avenues, police reported.

Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the Blanchard Valley Hospital emergency room, police said.

Witnesses told police Gutierrez was a passenger in a vehicle at the intersection. A dark-colored or green-colored, late 1990s or early 2000s Pontiac then approached, according to police.

Gutierrez exited his vehicle and one of two black men in the Pontiac fired a handgun at Gutierrez, police said.The Pontiac then was driven north on Crystal Avenue, according to police.
