DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Police in Dayton say they investigated three separate shootings in a 24-hour period last weekend that left two people dead and two others injured.
The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/Hmn9YA ) reports that 42-year-old Allen R. Lindenman was fatally shot during a home invasion on Saturday night. On Sunday afternoon, 18-year-old Brandon Shells Jr. was found shot to death in a yard.
Then, Sunday night two men were wounded by gunfire at an apartment complex, with one left in critical condition.
Investigators say none of the incidents were related.
There have been 26 slayings in the city of Dayton so far this year. Last year, there were 28.
