113-year-old Ohio eatery's memorabilia to be sold

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A 113-year-old restaurant in southwest Ohio will auction off its antiques, memorabilia and equipment next month after an attempt to sell the building and contents together failed.

The lone bid of $50,000 was well below the $175,000 minimum that had been set by the owners of the Stockyard Inn in Dayton.

The building has operated as a restaurant since 1900 and still has its original bar.

The current owners have had the building for 35 years and set the auction for Sept. 14.

The Dayton Daily News ( ) reports the building has had only four owners in its 113-year history.
