DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A 113-year-old restaurant in southwest Ohio will auction off its antiques, memorabilia and equipment next month after an attempt to sell the building and contents together failed.
The lone bid of $50,000 was well below the $175,000 minimum that had been set by the owners of the Stockyard Inn in Dayton.
The building has operated as a restaurant since 1900 and still has its original bar.
The current owners have had the building for 35 years and set the auction for Sept. 14.
The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/143wZqv ) reports the building has had only four owners in its 113-year history.
