COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say a 16-year-old Ohio boy has died after he was shot during a fight involving a group of teenagers in Columbus.
Police have identified the victim as Isaiah A. Giles. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital after the Monday night shooting at an apartment complex on the city's southwest side.
Police say officers were dispatched to the scene following a report of a large fight. Officers returned to the area about 30 minutes later on a call reporting the shooting.
The teen, who would have entered 10th grade this fall, ran after being shot, but later collapsed on a nearby street.
Nobody has been arrested in the shooting. It was the city's 45th homicide in 2013.
