TROTWOOD, Ohio (AP) — Firefighters say a blaze destroyed a southwest Ohio apartment building and displaced residents but caused no major injuries.
The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/19x4dBt ) reports a state fire marshal's investigator was expected Friday at the scene in the Dayton suburb of Trotwood. Authorities were still trying to determine was started the fire Thursday night.
More than four dozen firefighters from several departments responded to the blaze but were unable to control the flames. They resorted to protecting other nearby apartment buildings from catching fire.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation at the Woodland Hills apartment complex. The American Red Cross was helping to find housing for dozens more displaced from the 24-unit building.
