YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Trustees at Youngstown State University in northeast Ohio have approved a 2.4 percent tuition increase.

The hike approved Wednesday for in-state undergraduate students will increase the semester tuition by $94 to $3,950.

Tuition will increase 2.7 percent for out-of-state undergraduates who live in the region.

The Vindicator in Youngstown (http://bit.ly/1a7iFPB ) reports trustees also approved a $177 million operating budget for the budget year beginning July 1. That's $1.5 million less than the current budget.
