TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Operators of the Hollywood Casino in Toledo say they drew 3.4 million visitors in their first year.
The casino's general manager says those numbers beat expectations by about 600,000.
Operators say just under half of the first-year customers signing up for the casino's loyalty cards came from out of state.
They also noted that the casino went through 145,000 decks of cards and 36,000 gallons of draft beer in year one.
Toledo Mayor Mike Bell tells The Blade (http://bit.ly/1441awI ) newspaper that the casino has brought jobs and visitors to the city and generated $4.3 million in tax revenue for the city.
