COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio officials are set to release the latest monthly jobs data indicating whether the state's unemployment rate remains below the national rate.
State officials were slated to unveil the newest statewide labor force data Friday morning, along with the unemployment rate for March.
Ohio's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 7 percent in February. That was unchanged from January, which was the first time since mid-2011 that Ohio's monthly unemployment rate did not decline or remain steady.
The state's leaders have said Ohio's economy and its job market are getting stronger, though the process is slow.
Ohio's unemployment rate has remained about one percentage point below the national rate.
