MORAINE, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio man says he accidentally shot himself in the leg while driving in a store parking lot.
It happened in Moraine, near Dayton, while the man was on a routine shopping trip.
The Dayton Daily News reports that man said he was uncomfortable wearing the handgun in a holster while he was driving, so he put it in the center console of his vehicle.
When he reached for the.45 Caliber Colt Commander, it went off.
Bystanders came to his rescue and took him to a hospital.
The man possessed the gun legally.
