CINCINNATI (AP) — A grand jury has indicted a 19-year-old man in the shooting death last month of a 17-year-old southwest Ohio high school student.
The Hamilton County prosecutor says Dierres Lee was indicted Tuesday in Cincinnati on murder and felonious assault charges in the Feb. 24 slaying of Justin Brown.
The prosecutor says Brown and three friends drove to a Cincinnati neighborhood to buy drugs from Lee. Investigators say the teens used counterfeit money to pay Lee for the marijuana, and Lee fired into their vehicle as they drove away. Brown was shot in the back of the neck.
Lee could face the possibility of life in prison if convicted.
Court records did not list an attorney for Lee.
