West Liberty-Salem High School hosts homecoming activities this week beginning with a parade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, from the north side of Lions Park along Pickrelltown Road to U.S. Route 68 to east Baird Street and back to Lions Park. Greg Thomas, senior class adviser and high school government and economics teacher, is the parade grand marshal. The king and queen will be crowned during 6 p.m. Friday pregame ceremonies. The homecoming court includes, from the left, seated: Grace Estes, freshman attendant; Anna Kauffman, sophomore attendant; Rachel McGill, junior attendant; and Laine Godwin, Leah Kauffman, Dierdre McGill, Janie Kopus and Mallary Caudill, queen candidates; and standing: Neil Markin, Braden Miller, Trevor Burden, Logan Cole and Tyler Jones, king candidates. The homecoming dance is from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.
