Food run

Runners burst from the starting line Saturday morning at the Belle Center Memorial Building, 615 N. Center St., to begin the Race for Life 5k run/walk event. A total of 122 participated in the first-time event which raised $1,839 to benefit the Belle Center United Methodist Food Pantry. Aaron Scott was the top male runner with a time of 18:22.1 and Meg Manns placed first among the female runners in 22:37. (Examiner | TJ Hubbard)
