Students in Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s information technology, business administration technology and administrative office specialist programs recently attended a regional Business Professionals of America meeting in Lima for leadership training.
During the meeting, Shelby Shafer, a junior information technology student from West Liberty-Salem High School, was elected to serve as the regional secretary. Officers serve region 16, representing Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, Benjamin Logan High School, Millstream Career Center, Apollo Career Center, Vantage Career Center and Lima Senior High School BPA chapters.
Other OHP students attending the meeting included Ashley Bisel, a senior business administration technology student from Triad High School; and April Harp, a senior administrative office specialist student from Kenton High School.
The group also recently elected chapter officers for 2009-10, including president, Cody Bell, a senior information technology student from BHS; vice president, Ashleigh Grimes, senior, business administration, Indian Lake High School; secretary, Alyssa Prickett, senior, business administration, Riverside High School; treasurer, Kelly Kale, senior, business administration, Marysville High School; historian, Roger Skeen, senior, information technology, Ben Logan; parliamentarian, David Williams, senior, information technology, BHS; and regional representatives, Shelby Shafer, Ashley Bisel and April Harp.
